Altruist hat off, for a moment at least. I'd rather give my time to something I can see the value in, than occasionally stick a tenner in a charity appeal pot.

I'm currently involved with three causes (though admittedly one of them isn't even a charity) 

I am a School Governor for Swindon Academy, working on the Finance & Premises subcommittee on this £12m per year / 1200 student school that helps children from 2-18 in a tough part of town. 

I help the Princes Trust as a Business Mentor, assisting young start-up's by acting as a consultant to help them figure out their business plan and early days.

I'm a trained Bikeability Cycling Instructor, offering life-changing instruction to children and adults alike.
